Coordinating the Olathe Special Olympics program is the responsibility of the City of Olathe through the Olathe Parks & Recreation Department (OPRD) with assistance from the Olathe Special Olympics Foundation. By providing our athletes with the continuing opportunity to develop their physical and mental fitness, participation in Special Olympics helps to prepare them for entry into school and community programs. The joy they experience while participating, making friends, and sharing experiences is unsurpassed in other areas of their lives.
How to Contribute All contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible, and we have an affiliation with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.
