From humble origins, Dr. Charles W. Gehrke went on to co-found ABC Laboratories in 1968, a growing contract research organization that now employs nearly 400 scientists and support personnel. A longtime professor of biochemistry at the University of Missouri, Dr. Gehrke's success as an educator, researcher, and entrepreneur was the result of his lifelong pursuit of learning and hard work.
This scholarship supports the academic endeavors of the children of ABC employees who pursue a post-secondary education in any course of study at an accredited college, university or technical school. The company works through the Community Foundation of Central Missouri to administer the scholarship program.
